Trekking in Mongolia. We offer hiking and trekking vacations to suit people of any ability. Our Mount Kharkhiraa walking holiday in the Altai Mountains of Western Mongolia is an 8-day trek in the spectacular glaciated valleys and snow-capped peaks of the remote Uvs region. Like the local nomads, we use camels as well as horses to carry the packs.

Later in the summer we have a tour to include the ancient capital of Kharkhorin in Central Mongolia as well as the fabled Gobi Desert in the south. This cultural adventure vacation includes hiking and riding horses and camels in these two beautiful parts of Mongolia.

Gobi Desert lies in the south of Mongolia. It is home to some nomadic families and also to lots of unusual wild life.

We set off in overland vehicles to Bayanzag, renowned among palaeontologists for the extraordinary dinosaur remains found within its rusty red cliffs. The following day we enter in the Gurvan Saïkhan National Park, set high above the desert floor and home to wild argali sheep and rare birds.

Within the park boundaries lies Yoliin Am, the "Eagle Valley" where you can walk in the ice-filled canyon. Dinosaur remains have been found in the region, well-preserved in the dry atmosphere.

Another highlight of this journey is Khongoriin Els, where immense sand dunes reach 792 m into the cloudless blue sky.
